Fun Agility Games You Can Play at Home

Playful dog mid-jump in a vibrant garden, showcasing excitement and motion.

Agility turns everyday objects into a playground. Beyond fitness, it builds confidence and focus—especially for energetic or timid dogs. No backyard stadium required.

DIY Obstacles

  • Jumps: broom across books, adjusted to safe height.
  • Tunnel: blanket over chairs.
  • Weave poles: cones or water bottles in a line.

Training Flow

Lure the first rep, then fade the lure and reward after each obstacle. Link two, then three obstacles. Keep reps short with plenty of praise.

Safety Notes

Non-slip flooring, low jumps for young/senior dogs, and frequent water breaks. If in doubt, keep it lower and slower.

With a few household items and good vibes, you’ve got a weeknight adventure that leaves your dog happily tired.
